Counselling and other activities

Our specialist counsellors are trained to give you emotional support, and help you resolve some of the difficulties you are experiencing.

Our counsellors won’t hurry you or judge you. The work will happen in your own time and on your own terms.

Each counselling session lasts for about 50 minutes and will normally be the same day and time every week, with the same counsellor. We offer both online and in-person counselling. However if you just want to chat with someone, try our support line or LiveChat.

How do I get counselling?

Your first step is to get in touch with us. Once we hear from you, we’ll arrange a date for an initial chat to explain a bit more about what you can expect, and to check this is the right service for you. Then we will introduce you to a counsellor with specialist skills tailored to your needs. Together you can work out a plan for the support you need.

Counselling sessions are held every day. We keep Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays as women-only space.

Activities and events

We offer a range of activities and events you can come to, whoever you are. Whether you’re a survivor or not. From therapeutic group sessions for survivors, to marching through Chester to ‘Reclaim the Night’ which anyone can take part in.

There are confidential activities specifically for survivors that we can’t talk about publically – if this is something you are interested in please drop us an email to info@csass.org and we will let you know what’s coming up.
